Leanne joined the firm in our Liverpool office in April 2021.Her expertise includes handling marine personal injury claims for our key port and terminals clients ranging from fatal accidents and catastrophic injuries to slippers and trippers. That expertise comes from an intimate understanding of the port environment, the division of labour between ship and shore, and risk management and risk allocation strategies which are particular to this operationally diverse and complex environment. Clients value her ability to find a commercial and cost effective solution to often complex and multi-party claims. She has forged long standing relationships with insureds and London market insurers in this specialist arena.

Leanne also has expertise in dealing with complex recovery actions, from vessel tracking, detention and arrest to court ordered sales, all of which are driven by commercial pragmatism and all of which achieve a positive outcome for our clients.

Leanne maintains a 100% success rate at trials she has conducted over the past 9 years – she knows which cases to contest and which to settle on appropriate terms.
