Mark Meredith

Mark has over twenty years’ experience handling a wide variety of Lloyd’s Open Form (LOF) salvage cases on behalf of cargo interests. The vessels involved are anything from multi-interest containerships to single interest bulk cargo vessels. The nature of the casualties can range from significant fires on board during voyage to collisions and groundings to main engine breakdowns, ensuring that cargo interests are protected every step of the way.

In addition, Mark has been involved in a significant number of General Average claims from issuing GA security to investigating the circumstances of the casualty through to resolution of the claim. Further, Mark has extensive experience in relation to the recovery aspects of casualty cases in order to try and pursue the responsible party, or parties, for any monies settled by cargo interests, either on behalf of the cargo insurer or the insured.

Mark began his career at Clyde & Co before joining an international maritime transit consultancy where he travelled extensively in Asia and North America, meeting and developing client relationships. Mark joined Roose+Partners as a Senior Casualty Specialist in July 2019. Mark was promoted to Partner on 1 January 2022.
